Tipsea Wines work closely with highly regarded importers to source wines from independent, family-owned wineries. Some of the wines we offer have been produced by the same families for generations, while others are made with in region’s or with grape varieties which may be new to you.

How It Started
Tipsea Wines is an independent wine merchants based on the Yorkshire Coast in Whitby. Founded by two best friends, who together have decades of experience running family-owned restaurants (and a few years’ experience enjoying wine together too!) Owners, Adam and Chris, had a vision to establish the town’s first wine merchants and Tipsea Wines was born.
Our Goal
Our main aim is to provide a great, personal service; to help you find the perfect bottle. We hope to guide you towards your favourite tipple or perhaps tempt you to try something new.
We believe that good quality wine should always be the focus of Wine Merchants, and that sharing exciting new wines from around the globe, whether high or low-priced, drives more passion to the industry and allows us all to share our love of all things wine.
Our Location
Based in Whitby, North Yorkshire, we are perfectly positioned to supply bars, pubs and restaurants along the East Coast and in the North York Moors area. We want to support independent, local businesses close to the place we call home; to build and maintain relationships by supplying you with fine wines that sell well and keep customers coming back for more.
