Fleurie La Bonne Dame, Louis Tête

The grapes are sourced exclusively from La Madone vineyard, which is situated at the top of the southwestern slopes of the hillside looking out over the village of Fleurie. Vinified partly by carbonic maceration (the technique of fermenting whole grapes without breaking their skins, therefore arresting the release of tannin) and partly in contact with the skins in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged in very large oak foudres, which do not add oaky flavours but soften the wine.

Vivid, approachable Beaujolais from a top village, full of red fruits such as cranberries and raspberries, with forest fruits, elegantly arranged, in the mouth.
